ANA Traveler’s Online Tours

Delivering three new themes- Air and Space “Children’s STEAM class,” Revitalization project for Loosdorf castle (Vienna suburbs) and early Imari wares, and Enjoying Bourgogne wine and Riedel glasses

ANA X Inc. (President and CEO: Shinichi Inoue, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will begin sales of online tours for March and April from 14:00 on March 1 (Tuesday).

Air and Space “Children’s STEAM class” – Have fun while learning! Airplane principles

ANA Traveler’s has prepared a new tour with a theme of “learning” as a new online tour format. It worked with ANA Wings Co., Ltd. (Ota-ku, Tokyo) to plan and implement an online classroom for “having fun while learning” on the theme of airplanes. We readied two types of courses – the Wing Course for learning about airplane wings and the Engine Course for learning about airplane engines.

The tours incorporate aspects of STEAM education (*1) and not only offers an opportunity to learn about mechanisms used in airplanes but also provides an experience with scientific and mathematical thinking required in the future for children through repeated review and testing via a workshop and Q&A with the instructor. We plan to have active-duty pilots from ANA Wings as the instructors and also arranged an “online roundtable plan” and “individual interaction plan” for customers who want to interact more extensively with the instructor.

Additionally, in collaboration with the mobile app service ANA Pocket (*2) that accumulates points through ordinary movement, we prepared the new “Challenge” through learning plan, including Central Japan International Airport Company’s Flight of Dreams and Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum. How about trying an enjoyable online learning experience about airplanes while experiencing STEAM education during this year’s spring break?

<ANA Vienna Branch> Revitalization project for Loosdorf castle (Vienna suburbs) and early Imari wares

Early Imari wares are a type of Arita pottery made in the area that is currently Saga Prefecture’s Arita Town during the Edo Period. The tour focuses on fragments of early Imari wares at Loosdorf Castle in the suburbs of Vienna and looks at the history and revitalization of early Imari wares that traveled to another continent. Popular flight attendants from ANA Traveler’s narrate the tour. Topics include the history of the family that still lives at Loosdorf Castle, recommended spots near Loosdorf Castle, and tourist spots in Vienna.

Additionally, the tour’s question corner using Zoom’s Q&A function offers real interaction with Vienna and a lottery and other activities attended by the General Manager of The Kyushu Ceramic Museum in Arita Town that is holding a special exhibit. The tour also highlights spots in Arita Town (Saga), the home of early Imari wares. Why not enjoy an experience with the history and culture of Vienna and early Imari wares?
