ANA Traveler’s Online Tours
~ In August we are providing new themes through two itineraries!

ANA X Inc. (Representative Director and President: Shinichi Inoue, headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) commenced sales today of the ANA Traveler’s Online Tours to be conducted in August. This time we have provided new themes through two itineraries.

■ Online tour for enjoying the starry sky in summer ~ Everyone, let’s learn together! The Perseid Meteor Shower and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan ~

This is an online tour for enjoying the starry sky in summer which can be enjoyed as the free study of children during their summer holidays. We invited a National Astronomical Observatory of Japan astronomer, Associate Professor Hidehiko Agata (Note 1) to give explanations about the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, constellations and the universe.
Furthermore, he will give an explanation about the Perseid Meteor Shower, one of the three major meteor showers. It is reported that there will be a good opportunity to observe the meteor shower before dawn on August 13 so he will also explain the observation points.

For this tour we have provided a “Viewing-only plan” and a “Viewing + workshop (including astronomical telescope kit) plan” under which the customers will construct a telescope together with Associate Professor Agata. A quiz and a question-and-answer session with Associate Professor Agata utilizing Zoom’s Q&A function are also provided, so by all means please participate if you are interested in astronomy or want to make summer holiday memories with your children.
