New Year’s message
Toward a world where people can live with miles
I would like to respectfully give a greeting as we welcome the New Year.
I believe that many of your lives were disrupted last year by the effects of COVID-19. It was also a year of disasters, including the landslide in Atami and the torrential rains that mainly affected western Japan. I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to those who were infected and those who have suffered from disaster. I would also like to express my respect and gratitude to all those who are facing difficulties on the front lines of these unprecedented calamities.
In April last year, we made a new start as a platform business of the ANA Group. By diversifying our revenue structure and distributing business risks, we have taken on being the core business to break away from relying solely on aviation and building a strong ANA Group that can withstand the return of a pandemic.
The concept for this is “a world where people can live with miles.” In addition to the conventional “non-daily” areas such as aviation and travel, we will also develop services and products in areas of daily life by leveraging the strengths of the ANA Group and linking them to ANA miles.
To realize this, in 2022 we will launch the ANA Super App, expand the payment functions, and enhance the services on the e-commerce site. Through these efforts, we will expand the opportunities to accumulate and use miles from not only airline tickets and travel but also to a wide range of products and services, including real estate, finance, and insurance. This will be possible using the smartphone in the palm of your hand wherever you are. Namely, we will expand miles to areas of everyday life.
Please look forward to the “New ANA X,” which aims to create products and services that are exciting, simple and convenient, and fun.
